Community College of Baltimore County is hiring a Utility Engineer I (HVAC Tech) to operate, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and electrical systems on the Catonsville Campus. This full-time role runs Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM and involves hands-on work with boilers, chillers, and building automation systems to ensure a comfortable campus environment.

Candidates should have Journeyman HVAC or Second Grade Stationary Engineer licenses and at least two years of related maintenance

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree and CFCCertification preferred.
Formal specialized training in operation and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems.
Minimum of two years of maintenance experience in building mechanical systems, boilers, and chillers.

Mansioni

Operate and maintain all college mechanical and electrical equipment including chillers and boilers.
Repair and replace hot water, condenser, and chilled water systems and related components.
Maintain air-moving, heating, cooling, humidification, and filtering equipment and systems.
Record operating parameters and prepare reports as required.
Operate equipment via building automation system.
Install, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair control system components for heating and cooling.
Assign points and control through energy management system.
