Job summary
Bucks County Community College is seeking an HVAC and Plumbing Mechanic for the Newtown Campus to operate, maintain, and repair campus HVAC, plumbing, and BAS control systems. The role requires hands-on expertise with boilers, steam and hot water heating, chillers, refrigeration equipment, and electrical controls.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with HVAC systems and BAS controls, ability to fabricate piping, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years' experience in service, maintenance, repair, and installation of air handling equipment.
- 3–5 years' experience with BAS and mechanical systems.
- Ability to fabricate and install piping and tubing for HVAC and plumbing repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment with meters and diagnostics.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and hold a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair campus HVAC, Plumbing, and BAS control systems.
- Work from ladders and lifts to access equipment.
- Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating supply and return lines and related fittings.
