Job summary

Rochester Christian University is seeking a skilled HVAC Specialist / Boiler Operator (Part Time) to join the Facilities team on campus in Rochester Hills, Michigan. You will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the university's HVAC, boiler, heating, cooling, and domestic hot water systems to keep classrooms and labs safe and comfortable.

The role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to read blueprints and diagrams, and readiness for occasional after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial boiler operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair campus HVAC and boiler systems.
• Monitor BAS controls to maintain temperatures and energy efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
• Assist with startup/shutdown of heating and cooling systems.
