Job summary

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking a Training & Development Lead within the Human Resources department. This role focuses on delivering and coordinating employee training and providing guidance to staff and managers on routine HR issues.

The position emphasizes partnership with internal stakeholders, program development, and ensuring compliance with personnel policies. Regular attention to employee development supports the university’s teaching, research, and public service missions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; experience may substitute the degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Two years of training/public speaking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, document, monitor, and report on Mandatory Employee Training.
• Design and deliver training resources in response to employee relations needs.
• Advise staff and managers on routine employee issues and document activities.
• Serve as SME for employee relations policies and processes.
• Assist HR Business Partners as workload permits.
• Develop programs aligned with unit objectives and institutional strategies.
