Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a General Utility Worker (Journey) to support Grounds-Landscape maintenance. This full-time SHRA role operates Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., on campus with a 40-hour work week and is based in Chapel Hill.

A sign-on bonus of $3,497 is available and paid in two installments within the first year. A valid NC driver’s license is required; applicants should be prepared for physical labor and routine outdoor work in

Qualifications

• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and potentially required licenses or certifications.
• Must have valid NC Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one before hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual work related to upkeep of UNC‑CH campus grounds, buildings and equipment.
• Carry out a variety of physical labor tasks and operate or assist with equipment.
