Job summary

James Madison University Facilities Management is hiring full-time housekeeping workers on multiple shifts. Overtime may be required. Duties include cleaning, safety compliance, and supporting campus operations. Applicants will be contacted by phone or email as shifts become available.

Qualifications

• Stand for extended periods.

• Basic proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and special cleaning of assigned areas using manual tools and power equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and auto scrubbers.
• Understand and practice all university safety procedures, particularly as they relate to equipment operation and chemical use.
• Participate in the university’s trash/recycling program.
• Staff may be moved regularly to meet short-term business needs or for special projects.
