Alabama-A in Alabama is seeking a licensed dentist to perform comprehensive examinations, diagnose and plan treatments, and provide restorative and endodontic care. The role includes managing acute dental pain and emergencies, while collaborating with campus medical staff to address comorbidities.

The position emphasizes preventive care, digital radiography proficiency, and detailed documentation. Involvement in CE and quality-improvement meetings is expected.

Formación

• DDS or DMD and current Alabama dental license.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with digital dentistry preferred.
• Sensitivity to underserved student populations.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Provide restorative care, simple extractions, limited endodontics, periodontal therapy, and emergency care.
• Manage acute dental pain and urgent walk-ins.
• Collaborate with campus medical staff to address dental and medical comorbidities.
• Complete detailed clinical notes, treatment plans, consents, and referrals.
• Ensure radiographs meet diagnostic and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with the Dental Director and hygienists/assistants for efficient patient flow.
• Participate in continuing education and clinic quality-improvement meetings.
