Job summary

University of Central Florida's Facilities and Landscaping Operations seeks a Landscaper I to maintain campus grounds. You will perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and general upkeep in assigned zones while operating hand tools and equipment.

You will report IPM issues and assist with tasks across the grounds team. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in landscape maintenance, basic English communication, and the ability to work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Completion of 9th grade or equivalent education and experience.
• 1+ year landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to use landscape hand tools and equipment safely.
• Basic English communication to interact with customers and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance: mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, hand weeding.
• Operate hand tools and landscaping equipment as needed.
• Identify and report IPM issues per plan.
• Assist with general campus upkeep: raking, trash removal, other tasks.
• Support with hauling fill dirt and watering trees in non-irrigated areas.
• Maintain equipment: cleaning, lubrication, and fluid checks.
