Job summary

The Hill School is seeking a Grounds/Landscape Technician to maintain the campus grounds, athletic fields, and roadways in a fast-paced, team-driven environment in Pottstown, PA. Under the Manager of Facilities Grounds Services, you will perform mowing, pruning, planting, hardscape work, and routine equipment maintenance to preserve the campus’s prestigious appearance.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years in landscape maintenance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• Ideally 3+ years of landscape grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Repair of small engines is preferred.
• Knowledge of synthetic turf maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform turf mowing and trimming.
• Prune shrubs and small trees.
• Assist with new plantings and removals.
• Complete hardscaping tasks including tile and paver walls and patio/walkway repairs.
• Weed, edge, and mulch flower beds.
• Apply minor herbicides and pesticides as needed.
• Recycle and collect trash across campus.
• Prepare athletic fields for practice and games.
• Maintain synthetic turf fields as required.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Leaf collection and debris cleanup.
• Operate heavy equipment (forklift, tractor, skid steer).
• Snow removal during winter months; long days and possible weekends.
• General upkeep of maintenance areas and equipment; assist with department needs.
