Job summary

The Hill School is seeking a Grounds/Landscape Technician to maintain the campus grounds, athletic fields, and surrounding areas. You will operate heavy equipment, assist with planting, hardscaping, and seasonal upkeep to preserve the campus’s prestigious appearance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in landscape maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and the flexibility to handle long hours in various weather.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of landscape grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and manuals is preferred.
• Knowledge of small engine repair is preferred.
• Knowledge of synthetic turf maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mow turf and trim; prune shrubs and small trees.
• Assist with new plantings and removals; perform hardscape tasks.
• Weed, edge, and mulch flower beds; apply herbicides/pesticides as needed.
• Maintain athletic fields and synthetic turf facilities; prepare fields for practice and competition.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment; operate forklift, tractor, and skid steer.
• Perform snow removal and winter maintenance; respond to weather events.
• General cleanup of maintenance areas and repair/replace athletic equipment as needed.
