Sun Prairie Area School District is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain school grounds, including landscaping, turf, ponds and safety-critical outdoor areas. The role also covers snow plowing, equipment maintenance and on-call duties to support the district’s outdoor environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with horticulture/turf training and at least three years of grounds experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Certifications in playground inspection are encouraged.

Qualificações

• High School diploma with horticulture/turf/landscape training.
• Minimum 3 years of turf, landscaping, grounds and equipment experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Playground inspector certification preferred; district-paid training encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Care for perennials, shrubs, trees, lawns and beds; general landscaping.
• Maintain natural and athletic turf, fields, irrigation, fertilization and pesticide practices.
• Care for ponds, wetlands, and natural areas; playground equipment upkeep.
• Maintain hardscapes, signs and parking lines; snow plowing when needed.
• Coordinate with grounds crew and custodians; deliver grounds supplies.
• Submit logs/records and participate in on-call rotation.
