Job summary

Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA is hiring for a Semi-Skilled Laborer. Three full-time positions in Campus Grounds & Services perform mowing, tree trimming, landscaping, pothole patching, snow removal, and material deliveries across campus.

Applicants should have at least one year of laboring experience; a valid driver’s license is required and background checks will be completed. Preference given to painting experience and work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction.

Responsibilities

• Mow turf with rotary push and riding mowers.
• Tree trimming and removal using chainsaws and hand trimming equipment.
• Landscaping including planting, seeding and mulching.
• Patching potholes and repairs to roads.
• Snow removal.
• Trash pickup and material deliveries to campus locations.
• Maintenance and repair of mowers, trimmers and other equipment.
