Job summary

Laurel Lake in Ohio is seeking a Groundskeeper to help maintain on-resident campus grounds and gardens, using safe operation of vehicles and landscaping equipment.

You will assist with planting, watering, and seasonal tasks, serve as a liaison with residents for private work orders, and support snow removal in winter.

A high school diploma and 1–2 years in horticulture are desired; good communication and hands-on skills help ensure a safe, well-kept campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in horticulture or related field.
• Familiar with field concepts, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Through direction of the Groundskeeper Coordinator help maintain existing on-resident campus grounds and plantings.
• Help plant, water, dead head and fertilize to maintain existing flower gardens in high profile areas and other campus areas.
• Must operate all Laurel Lake vehicles and landscaping equipment, including preventive maintenance.
• Work with residents as a liaison for requested private work orders.
• Monitor the campus exterior for safety issues and trash pickup; maintain bench cleanliness and blow off hardscape areas.
• Assist in being responsible for snow and ice removal in winter and acquire and maintain appropriate equipment.
