Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio seeks a Full-Time Groundskeeper to maintain College grounds and buildings across campus sites. You will mow, fertilize, prune, operate grounds equipment, and perform seasonal snow removal, reporting safety and equipment issues as needed.

This Union AFSCME position requires two years of grounds maintenance and equipment operation experience, the ability to follow instructions, and work in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Two years of grounds maintenance experience incl turf and beds.
• Two years operating grounds equipment and snowplow vehicles.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
• Proficient with keyboard, basic math, MS Word/Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Mow, fertilize turf, apply pesticides, and maintain grounds equipment.
• Remove snow from roadways, parking lots, and entrances; operate snowplow and related gear.
• Maintain and repair athletic fields; measure and paint lines as needed.
• Install and maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other plantings.
• Follow safety procedures and use college software for maintenance tasks.
