Job summary

Western Connecticut State University is seeking a full-time Landscape Technician in Danbury, CT. The role focuses on grounds and athletic field maintenance across the campus, including snow removal operations and seasonal landscaping tasks.

The Grounds team supports Midtown and Westside campuses, including plantings, irrigation, and facility upkeep. Candidates should be able to work in various weather conditions and pass required pre-employment screens.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of landscape maintenance experience including operating and repairing small and large landscape equipment.
• One (1) year of plant selection, pruning, fertilization and turf seeding experience.
• Must possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license; able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, install and maintain decorative landscaping features across campus.
• Operate and maintain turf, irrigation and outdoor equipment.
• Perform snow removal and grounds maintenance as required.
• Assist with event setup and dismantling for campus activities.
• Maintain orderliness of landscape sheds and related areas.
