Job summary

The Rhode Island School of Design Facilities department is actively seeking a Groundskeeper to join their Custodial & Grounds team on a full-time basis in Providence. The role maintains campus grounds, walks, parking areas, and decorative vegetation to support a safe and welcoming campus environment.

Responsibilities include lawn mowing, hedge pruning, snow removal, debris collection, and operating standard grounds equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year groundskeeping experience.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain DOT medical card within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass, prune trees and hedges, and maintain lawns.
• Repair sidewalks and assist maintenance as needed.
• Remove snow and ice; operate snow removal equipment.
• Collect and sort recycled materials daily.
