Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking a Grounds Maintenance staff member to care for hospital grounds, perform landscaping, snow removal, and routine upkeep. You will help keep the campus attractive and safe, operate basic landscape equipment, and work with a team in an outdoor setting at our Manchester location.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and responsiveness to seasonal needs. Training and proper PPE are provided, with shift from early morning hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior landscaping, grounds maintenance and/or snow removal experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to occasionally operate small powered landscape tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Ability to work outside in the elements.
• Ability to exhibit flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and maintains lawns and grass.
• Rakes and maintains leaves, and cares for plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Performs snow removal activities in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintains campus grounds clean and free of debris for first impression and beautification.
• May perform basic repairs to outdoor furniture to maintain safe conditions.
• Maintains landscape power equipment in good operating condition.
• Stress safety as top priority.
• Informs Grounds Coordinator of any unsafe conditions.
