Job summary

Westtown School seeks a full-time Groundskeeper in West Chester, PA. The role supports the facilities team with campus grounds, athletic fields, and property maintenance. Typical hours are 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, year-round, with a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have at least one year of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in care and maintenance of facilities or equivalent.
• Knowledge of horticulture, plants, trees, and shrubs is desirable.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass, prune shrubs/trees, and apply mulch using appropriate equipment.
• Operate a tractor, loader, and other departmental vehicles.
• Weed and maintain flower beds and landscaping.
• Plant trees and shrubs and annuals as directed.
• Assist in maintaining athletic fields and recreational play areas.
• Assist with trash removal and debris disposal.
• Maintain campus driveways and parking lots.
• Plow and shovel snow; respond during inclement weather.
