Job summary

Westtown School in West Chester, PA is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds and athletic fields. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, year-round with a comprehensive benefits package.

Essential duties include mowing, pruning, mulching, operating tractors, and maintaining plant beds. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience; a valid driver’s license is required. The role is on-site with duties across campus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience maintaining facilities or similar grounds.
• Knowledge of horticulture, plants, trees, and shrubs desired.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must read, write and follow instructions.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass, prune shrubs and small trees, and apply mulch.
• Operate tractors and departmental vehicles.
• Weed flower beds and maintain landscaping.
• Assist with athletic fields layout, mowing, seeding, fertilizing.
• Remove trash and debris and maintain driveways/parking lots.
• Respond to snow removal and inclement weather as needed.
• Support other campus departments and maintain professional relations.
