Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security policies at an educational location.
• Staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify access authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct guests to campus areas.
• Monitor access points, entry activity, alarms, cameras and systems; report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and professionally; contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Assist in creating a welcoming academic environment by providing directions and deterring unauthorized access.
