Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• As a condition of employment, background checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and communications systems as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Support a welcoming academic environment by providing directions and answering routine inquiries.
