Job summary

The Poteet ISD Food Service department is seeking a Cafeteria Manager to supervise, train, and manage campus food service operations, ensure proper quantities, meet health codes, and comply with central office requirements.

You will develop schedules, direct daily kitchen and cafeteria activities, maintain records, coordinate with campus leadership on schedule changes, supervise staff, and ensure safe, high-quality food service in adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in institutional food service operations.
• Supervisory experience in food service operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and production records.
• Direct daily activities in kitchen and cafeteria.
• Maintain serving schedules and serve food according to menu specifications.
• Coordinate with campus principal on schedule changes and resolve personnel issues.
• Supervise and train cafeteria staff to promote efficiency and teamwork.
• Ensure food is produced safely and meets quality standards.
• Maintain reports of daily and monthly financial, production, and activity records.
• Maintain safe storage and handling of food items and inventory.
• Enforce cleanliness, health, and safety standards as per codes.
• Establish and maintain safe work environment.
