University of Central Florida is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead a university-scale fleet program at the Orlando campus. The role oversees vehicle acquisition, utilization, and lifecycle planning while ensuring safety, compliance, and cost-effective service delivery.

Responsibilities include managing operating and capital budgets, coordinating with campus partners and external agencies, and leveraging IWMS AiM for asset management and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of supervisory fleet experience.
• Experience managing a large, complex fleet in a regulated environment such as higher education or government.
• Strong knowledge of fleet lifecycle, maintenance programs, and asset management systems.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, and long-term capital planning能力.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the university's fleet program, including life-cycle planning and motor pool operations.
• Develop and oversee operating and capital budgets (maintenance, fuel, rentals, replacement reserves).
• Ensure regulatory compliance and act as liaison with departments, vendors, and agencies (e.g., FDOT).
• Oversee fleet asset management within IWMS AiM, including data accuracy and PM programs.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and vendor evaluations for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate generator and emergency power support and ensure readiness during outages.
• Leverage data to analyze utilization and inform right-sizing and replacement decisions.
• Support fleet replacement and infrastructure improvements in capital planning.
• Serve as SME for fleet operations and lead staff supervision and development.
