Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED; college/trade coursework preferred.
• Prefer degree in Fire Protection Technology or related field.
• State certification in fire inspection or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and direct scene activities; investigate fire causes; access campus areas.
• Test fire alarm panels; coordinate repairs and ensure compliance with codes.
• Test sprinkler, vent-a-hood, and standpipe systems for proper operation.
• Inspect firefighting equipment; enforce fire prevention codes; verify exit plans and drills.
• Assist Director/Security in safety decisions as needed.
• Perform office tasks: answering phones, vendor calls for estimates, testing.
• Maintain excellent customer service relationships with staff, students, and public.
