Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Five years as emergency responder (volunteer experience considered).
• Four years as operational fire officer in paid or volunteer dept.

Responsibilities

• Act as incident commander at campus emergencies until relieved by higher rank.
• Supervise Fire Services team and all shift activities with documentation in reports and LMS.
• Coordinate scheduling and training; ensure shift coverage and compliance with safety standards.
• Lead inspections of fire safety, hazard assessments, and occupancy reviews for compliance.
• Develop building emergency plans, evacuation plans, and fire department pre-planning.
• Provide fire safety coverage at events and emergencies; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal/external agencies and maintain professional standards.
