Job summary

Arizona College is seeking a Director of Financial Aid to lead the Campus Financial Aid Department onsite. You will guide counseling on Title IV funding, ensure compliance, and drive timely awarding of aid for new and returning students.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data privacy, and staff development. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 3+ years Title IV aid administration with management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3 years’ Title IV aid administration experience, preferably in management.
• Minimum 1 year direct supervisory experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• High degree of professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students to determine Title IV eligibility and aid options.
• Assist new students in obtaining federal aid and ensure compliance with Title IV.
• Assist with administration, compliance, and reconciliation of federal/state/institutional programs.
• Develop and disseminate financial aid information via presentations, workshops, and publications.
• Collaborate with Executive Director, Enrollment Services and Regional Director, Financial Aid to improve campus processes.
• Provide confidential financial aid counseling to students and families.
• Monitor awarding of financial aid to ensure accuracy and timely corrections.
• Maintain privacy of student data and respond to inquiries via email/phone.
• Counsel individuals to help with educational or vocational challenges.
• Manage the new student Financial Aid process with benchmarks and milestones.
• Hire and supervise Financial Aid Officers; manage direct reports and performance reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
