Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a Financial Aid Officer to guide students through aid eligibility, applications, and funding sources. The role involves FAFSA processing, award packaging, and helping students understand loan obligations. You will work onsite to support enrollment and retention.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in financial aid or related customer service with strong communication and organizational skills. NSLDS eligibility is required or easily obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in financial aid, student services, customer service, or related field.
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Detail-focused with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Eligible to enroll in NSLDS.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial aid counseling to students and families on eligibility, procedures, and funding sources (Title IV aid, institutional loans, scholarships).
• Assist with FAFSA completion, verification, and award acceptance.
• Explain loan terms, repayment, and budgeting concepts clearly.
• Ensure compliance in packaging and processing financial aid awards in line with regulations.
• Collaborate with academic and student services to support student success and retention.
