Job summary

Harvard-Westlake School is seeking a Maintenance Technician for River Park in Studio City to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and grounds care across campus facilities. The role supports events and special projects, maintaining safety and operational readiness for students and staff.

You will work on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC tasks and document maintenance activities. A HS diploma and 2+ years in facilities work are required; multiple campus assignments may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related trade.
• Working knowledge across multiple trade areas (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC).
• Ability to read work orders and follow maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain River Park operations day-to-day: repairs and preventive maintenance across building systems, grounds care, and event setup and support.
• Carry out assigned work orders across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and patching, meeting quality and safety standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues; identify practical solutions and escalate complex issues to the Facilities Operations Manager when needed.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds; inspect and service mechanical systems, doors, lighting, and fixtures.
• Maintain walkways, landscaping, parking areas, and outdoor spaces; operate grounds equipment safely.
