Job summary

River Valley Community College is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I to perform a range of building, equipment, and grounds maintenance tasks. The role reports to the College Facilities Manager and supports the Claremont campus and related centers.

Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance and repairs including minor renovations, painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
Service door hardware, plumbing systems, and perform preventative maintenance on related components.
Conduct daily cleaning and custodial duties across offices, classrooms, labs, and common areas.
Operate custodial and maintenance equipment and monitor equipment condition.
Assist in grounds maintenance and snow plowing as needed.
Report safety issues to the College Facilities Manager and follow related regulations.
