Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a General Utility Worker/Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance on the Spring Hill College campus in Mobile, AL. The role includes light repairs, plumbing and electrical tasks, and cleaning of mechanical rooms.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime during move-in/move-out and graduation events. The ideal candidate has 1+ year in maintenance or related fields, basic knowledge of building

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in general maintenance or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC).
• Experience using hand tools and basic power tools safely.
• Ability to perform physical work and lift/move items.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.
• availability Monday–Friday 7:00–3:30 with overtime as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on campus facilities.
• Assist maintenance technicians and skilled trades with daily work.
• Change light bulbs and replace air filters as required.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging toilets.
• Support carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other projects as needed.
• Power wash building exteriors, walkways, and campus areas.
• Move furniture and equipment for events and operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of mechanical rooms and workspaces.
• Use basic tools safely and report safety hazards.
• Support campus operations during peak periods (move-in/move-out/graduation).
• Follow Aramark safety policies and PPE requirements.
