Job summary

University of Maryland is seeking a Facilities Projects Manager to plan, coordinate, track, and close out multiple projects across the College Park campus. You will oversee on-call and outside contractors and communicate timelines, methods, and materials to customers and internal users.

The role requires developing solutions even without full design specifications and may involve emergency work and large renovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of facilities, operations, construction, renovation, or maintenance experience.
• Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, track, close out, and manage all assigned projects and contractors.
• Communicate with customers and internal users regarding methods, materials and timelines.
• Develop solutions for projects lacking complete design specifications or drawings.
• Lead on-site coordination including emergency and large-scale tasks as needed.
