Eastern Kentucky University’s Richmond Campus seeks a Project Manager to serve as a representative for capital projects, focusing on MEP and construction trades. You will review design and construction documents, attend meetings, and manage schedules and budgets using Campus Construction procedures.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of construction or engineering experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in engineering or construction.
• Knowledge of all phases of construction and project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledgeable of applicable construction codes and standards.
• Ability to prepare construction plans, specifications, and material take-offs.

Responsabilités

• Plans, implements, and coordinates design and construction activities affecting university facilities and grounds on main campus and extended campuses.
• Coordinate architects/engineers, contractors, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and others for on-time completion within budget.
• Represent the University in coordinating capital construction projects and renovations.
• Communicate with all representatives involved in construction projects, both verbally and in writing.
• Schedule and direct pre-construction, post-construction, progress meetings and other required meetings.
• Formulate reports, summaries, memos, and recommendations for the Associate Director.
• Perform inspections for compliance with codes, standards and specifications and address deviations with contractors.
• Prepare specifications for materials and equipment purchases used in construction.
• Organize, budget and track projects from programming to completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Campus Construction and Project Management.
