Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond is seeking a Project Manager to support capital projects with emphasis on MEP and construction, coordinating with external contractors and campus stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor\'s degree and at least 3 years in engineering or construction, with strong communication, organizational, and codes knowledge. This is a full-time exempt role on the Richmond Campus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Three years' experience in engineering or construction.
  • Knowledge of construction codes and standards.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate design and construction activities for university facilities and grounds.
  • Coordinate architects/engineers, contractors, surveyors, geotechnical engineers and others for on-time, on-budget completion.
  • Represent the University in coordinating capital construction projects and renovations.
  • Communicate with all representatives involved in construction projects, verbally and in writing.
  • Schedule and direct pre-construction, post-construction, progress and other required meetings.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, memos, and recommendations for the Associate Director.
  • Perform inspections for compliance with codes, standards and specifications and address deviations with contractors.
  • Prepare specifications for material and equipment purchases.
  • Organize, budget and track projects from programming to completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director.
