Job summary

Florida Polytechnic University is seeking a Facilities Assistant Project Manager to support planning, budgeting, and coordination of capital and non-capital construction projects across the campus.

The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. A strong emphasis on code compliance and effective communication is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or architecture, or five years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree and higher education project delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiation of planning and project management strategies for the realization of the University’s goals and objectives.
• Coordinate activities with vendors and suppliers and maintain relationships with them to ensure timely project delivery.
• Manage small projects related to Campus Development and Construction and assist as needed.
• Develops, manages, monitors, and assures implementation of budgets and schedules within approved limits.
• Procure professional services to realize established goals and obtain user group approvals.
• Review progress daily, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure furniture, fixtures, and lab equipment submittals meet requirements.
