Job summary

The University of San Diego is seeking a Project Manager for Planning Design and Construction to oversee interior renovations and minor new construction. You will coordinate design packages, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with building codes and ADA regulations.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience managing large facilities projects, with strong coordination across university stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in architecture, construction management, engineering or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience managing commercial or institutional construction projects required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews university personnel to ascertain renovation/new construction needs.
• Translates user needs into construction documents per codes and ADA.
• Prepares cost estimates and project schedules for assigned projects.
• Manages interior renovation and minor new construction projects (budget, schedule, quality).
• Issues contracts and purchase orders to contractors/vendors.
• Coordinates with university departments for move-in and approvals.
