Job summary

The University of New Haven seeks a Facilities Planning Manager to lead CMMS operations, develop preventive maintenance procedures, and supervise student clerical staff across multiple campuses. You will coordinate with Residential Life, Academic Affairs, Campus Safety and the Business Office to implement maintenance strategies and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and related standards.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with at least four years of building and maintenance experience,

Qualifications

• Requires a highly organized person with a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of building/equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong written and oral communication to collaborate with leadership and staff.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and regulatory compliance (OSHA, IBC, DEEP, EPA).

Responsibilities

• Manage the CMMS and develop preventive maintenance procedures.
• Oversee Facilities Operations business activities: purchases, invoices, budgets, and staff supervision.
• Manage work orders, PM actions, routing, approvals, and reporting to leadership.
