Job summary

The University of New Haven is seeking an Associate Director of Facilities Operations, Energy & Sustainability to lead university physical plant operations and drive energy efficiency across campus. You will supervise 24/7 facility services, oversee the Building Management System, and coordinate energy projects with internal teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; engineering degree preferred.
• Eight years of direct supervisory experience in facilities operations and maintenance management.

Responsibilities

• Manage University Physical Plant Operations including supervising FacilitiesShift Managers and 24/7 services.
• Oversee energy and water consumption reporting and develop monitoring indices.
• Direct oversight of Building Management System (BMS) and energy conservation programs.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and university policies.
• Develop and manage campus sustainability programs including energy conservation and recycling initiatives.
• Prepare monthly management reports on energy consumption and efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on project status and safety procedures.
