Job summary

The Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead campus operations in Beverly, MA. You will supervise facilities staff, coordinate vendors, manage operating and capital budgets, and ensure upkeep of buildings, grounds, and a small fleet to support student learning and residential programming.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong project management, and a commitment to safety and accessibility across a multi‑site campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field.
• 5+ years facilities management experience, preferably in education/nonprofit.
• Experience supervising facilities staff and coordinating vendors.
• Experience managing operating and capital budgets.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Experience with inspections, emergency preparedness, and safety programs.
• Proficiency with CMMS or facility work order software; Google Workspace and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation, maintenance, and improvements of buildings and grounds.
• Supervise facilities staff and coordinate vendors and service providers.
• Manage operating and capital budgets; plan for future needs.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, safety, and inspections.
• Coordinate summer projects and capital improvements to minimize disruption.
