Located in Beverly, Massachusetts, The Children's Center for Communication is a school for children ages 3 to 22 with unique developmental, physical, and communication needs. We are currently hiring an Intensive Special Needs Classroom Teacher as we expand our program for students with intensive developmental and communication needs. Small classroom of 3-5 students with an intensive faculty ratio using a communication-based model of instruction. Delivering an adapted curriculum, classroom instruction, therapeutic support, and use of instructional and communication technology including Assistive Technology and AAC.

Candidates should have experience leading a classroom in a special needs setting and familiarity with various instructional methodologies. Experience with children presenting with a range of disabilities and challenges required. Must have knowledge of and experience using voice output systems. 206 day program. Typical school year calendar including 23 day summer schedule. Includes support from a complete team of specialists including: SLPs, OTs, PTs, BCBAs, Assistive Technology support, Adaptive Physical Education, Curriculum Specialists, and more. Highly collaborative team setting with all of the positive benefits of a private, specialized campus in Beverly. We recruit exceptional educators who collaborate in a team-based setting. Recent graduates with or eligible for state licensure are encouraged to apply.

Starting salary for a first year masters-level licensed teacher is $72,120/yr. Additional benefits include: weekly professional development, ongoing curriculum and clinical support and collaboration to enhance classroom and school learning.
