Job summary

Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio seeks a maintenance worker to perform carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs across campus. You will maintain inventory, coordinate with other trades, and ensure work meets EPA and OSHA standards.

The role requires three years of general maintenance experience, a trade school certification, and a valid Texas driver license; you will respond to emergencies and support campus facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in general maintenance with responsibility for plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
• Trade school graduation or certification. Substantial additional general maintenance experience may be substituted for trade school diploma or certification.
• Valid Texas driver license with satisfactory record with relation to moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry work to maintain University property.
• Performs painting to maintain interior walls, handrails, doors, baseboards, and trim.
• Repairs plumbing: faucets, valves, pipes; clears clogged drains.
• Meets EPA and OSHA standards in all tasks.
• Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Purchases materials with approval of supervisors.
• Coordinates work with other trades as needed.
• Maintains equipment records for scheduling maintenance.
