Job summary

Seattle Pacific University is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support daily campus facilities operations on the Seattle campus. This in‑person role handles preventive maintenance, repairs, event support, and responsive service across academic, residential, and administrative buildings.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of maintenance experience, with strong troubleshooting, safety, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; three years of building maintenance or related field experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated reliability, good judgment, and commitment to safety; able to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to operate a university vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across campus facilities (academic, residential, admin).
• Respond to work orders and service requests promptly with a customer-focused approach.
• Troubleshoot issues and help maintain safe, functional facilities.
• Support campus events and emergency operations as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and assist with after-hours maintenance.
