University of Washington in Seattle is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support building alterations and construction across multiple trades. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor II and contributes to renovations across campus facilities.

The successful candidate will perform semi-skilled carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work, operate tools and equipment, and ensure safe, compliant execution of projects in a university environment.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an apprenticeship or full-journey status; or four years’ applicable work experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Aufgaben

• Perform semi-skilled building alterations and construction across multiple trades (carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Patch, repair, and paint surfaces; replace ceilings, flooring, and finishes.
• Repair and install doors, windows, hardware and related components.
• Perform plumbing and electrical alterations within scope of the role.
• Operate tools and equipment and coordinate with other trades to complete work.
• Provide customer service and ensure safe, compliant project execution.
