Job summary

Seattle Pacific University is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support day‑to‑day campus facilities operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, event support, and responsive customer service. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related field.
  • Demonstrated reliability, good judgment, and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to operate a university service vehicle.
  • Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, and working in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in academic, residential, and administrative buildings.
  • Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and customer-focused manner.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and assist in maintaining safe and functional facilities.
  • Support campus events and special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with Facilities team to support efficient building operations.
  • On-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance outside normal hours.
