Job summary

Liberty Elementary School District 25 is seeking a maintenance staff member to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment. The role covers site cleanup, repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, and more, with record-keeping and inventory responsibilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with staff and students, reporting hazards immediately, and supporting setup for events and rentals. A twelve-month work year is expected, with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Must be in good physical health with ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Ability to perform repairs/PMs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, HVAC, records management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of entire site buildings and grounds.
• Perform repairs and services on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hardware, landscaping, HVAC, and food service equipment.
• Maintains preventative maintenance measures as assigned to change filters, belts, lubrication, etc., on building components, food service equipment, and keep log of work performed.
• Cooperate with staff, students, and parents in a pleasant, harmonious manner.
• Notifies maintenance supervisor/principal/district maintenance immediately of any unsafe or hazardous condition.
• Maintain and monitor inventory and use of all custodial supplies and materials.
• Set-up facility for rentals, activities, programs, etc.
• Maintain all logs, i.e.; roof, fire, health and playground inspections, equipment maintenance, DSF preventative maintenance, inventory, and food service equipment, etc.
• Be available when called for emergencies by a home phone or cellular phone.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
