Liberty Elementary School District 25 is seeking a maintenance staff member to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment. The role covers site cleanup, repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, and more, with record-keeping and inventory responsibilities.
Responsibilities include coordinating with staff and students, reporting hazards immediately, and supporting setup for events and rentals. A twelve-month work year is expected, with potential on-call duties.
2. Good physical health, with ability to lift up to fifty pounds, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders and walk for extended periods of time.
3. Relate to the public, staff and students in a positive manner.
4. Experience and ability to perform repairs/pm's in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, HVAC, records management. REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor JOB GOAL: Provide students and staff with a clean, safe, healthy, attractive environment in which to learn and develop and to maintain facilities and records. RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of entire site buildings and grounds.
2. Perform repairs and services on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hardware, landscaping, HVAC, and food service equipment.
3. Maintains preventative maintenance measures as assigned to change filters, belts, lubrication, etc., on building components, food service equipment, and keep log of work performed.
4. Cooperate with staff, students, and parents in a pleasant, harmonious manner.
5. Notifies maintenance supervisor/principal/district maintenance immediately of any unsafe or hazardous condition.
6. Maintain and monitor inventory and use of all custodial supplies and materials.
7. Set-up facility for rentals, activities, programs, etc.
8. Maintain all logs, i.e.; roof, fire, health and playground inspections, equipment maintenance, DSF preventative maintenance, inventory, and food service equipment, etc.
9. Be available when called for emergencies by a home phone or cellular phone. 10. Perform additional duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Twelve months.

EVALUATION: Evaluated by the maintenance supervisor with input from building principals.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Supervised by the maintenance supervisor/input from building principals.
