Job summary

University Housing Facilities Maintenance is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain and coordinate repairs across university housing facilities in the Champaign-Urbana area.

Responsibilities include inspecting systems, preparing work orders, coordinating with crafts staff, and maintaining records. Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience; locks and key management experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year (12 months) of construction or building equipment experience.
• Preferred: one year designing locks systems and key management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and report maintenance issues.
• Prepare and monitor maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate work with Housing crafts and trades staff.
• Maintain related records and documentation.
• Travel between University Housing facilities as needed.
