Housing Authority of Champaign County is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to perform general maintenance across multiple trades in housing units. You will diagnose issues, repair building systems, and ensure safety and compliance while supporting residents and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or vocational training with related maintenance experience; familiarity with UPCS, ADA, and building codes is essential. Strong tools experience and reliable teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or vocational certification with related maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with safety standards and building codes; ADA accessibility knowledge.
• Experience reading technical documents and using hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose issues and conduct interior/exterior repairs to maintain housing conditions.
• Install and maintain fixtures, appliances, and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
