Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in facilities management, engineering, business or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive facilities management experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing large teams and complex operations.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, custodial, grounds, and building systems operations.
• Excellent communication, client relationship, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management software systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct all day-to-day facilities operations across campus buildings and properties.
• Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contracts and standards.
• Develop and implement operational plans aligned with campus priorities.
• Monitor metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental policies.
• Serve as liaison with university administration and campus stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with academic departments and campus partners.
• Manage operating budgets and analyze expenses for cost savings.
• Support forecasting, capital planning, and budget development.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing facilities team.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development.
• Foster engagement, accountability, safety, and inclusion.
• Lead managers, supervisors, trades, custodial teams, and staff.
• Champion safety culture; oversee audits and emergency planning.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance; support capital projects.
• Manage vendor relationships and sustainability initiatives.
