Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Facilities/Grounds Technician to maintain school buildings and grounds. The role involves cleaning, minor repairs, snow/ice removal, and general upkeep under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.

The position requires hands-on maintenance skills, ability to operate tools and equipment, and a willingness to be on-call. Excellent safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in building and grounds maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain basic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and groundskeeping tasks to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Perform minor repairs and coordinate larger repairs as needed.
• Maintain climate control equipment and inspect facilities for safety and operability.
• On-call duty required.
• Document work and repairs as requested.
