Job summary

Sycamore Community Schools is seeking reliable individuals to support our Maintenance team during the summer months. This seasonal position runs April 1 through October 31 and helps prepare and maintain school buildings and outdoor spaces to ensure safety and readiness for the next year.

Responsibilities include operating lawn equipment, grounds maintenance, moving furniture, stadium cleaning, and assisting custodians with interior tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience operating lawn care equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform outdoor labor.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate lawn care equipment including mowers and trimmers.
• Perform general grounds maintenance such as mulching and weeding.
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment inside buildings.
• Clean stadium and athletic facilities; prepare for use.
• Support custodial teams with interior cleaning as needed.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks, including painting.
• Perform other duties to support summer maintenance operations.
